Bold and defiant, the new Pershing 6x represents the iconic Pershing spirit with her slew of modern features, cutting-edge technology, and an astounding 48 knots of power. The Pershing 6x is the latest yacht to enter the Generation X range and was launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
We bring to you the Pershing 6x, thanks to the collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee advised by Mr. Piero Ferrari, the design company directed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Engineering Department of the Group.
Appearance
The Pershing 6x has an elegant, sleek, and streamlined aerodynamic appearance like the previous Generation X range. It also comes with huge, glazed surfaces in the hull, allowing the lower deck to fill with beautiful natural light. The features “clearly reflect Pershing’s approach to design in recent years, further improving functional and comfort-related design goals without affecting outstanding performance,” according to Pershing.
The garage in the stern houses a Williams Turbojet 325 tender with a swim platform that operates hydraulically to enable recovery and launch operations. The cockpit is fitted with a large sun pad with back support by a spoiler on the rear side. The sun pad has the ability to expand in size by folding down the forward seat’s backrest.
Opposite it is a cockpit dining area, the main attraction of that space is the L-shaped seating accommodation that can fit around eight people. In addition, the area has a carbon and teak table. The cockpit also features a bar unit, a grill, an ice maker, or a fridge, depending on customer demands.
The other outdoor area is impressive in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The side walkways permit access to the bow area. It has a sun pad accompanied by a different chaise longue that gives a captivating view of the blue waters. The cushions in the stern and foredeck are delicately upholstered in fabrics by the Mambo line from Sailmaker.
Interiors
We enter the primary lounge area through the cockpit’s sliding door. It forms the part of a fully retractable glazed surface. The large side windows and large sunroof open above the starboard helm station, adding natural light to the interiors.
The port side includes a C-shaped sofa; it can fit about six guests and is kept around an extending table. With the ability to raise or lower the table, it can serve multiple purposes, like transforming from a dinette to a coffee table. It also features a TV cabinet with a large storage area for your personal belongings.
The Pershing 6x is configured with three cabins: an owner’s suite, a forward VIP, and a starboard guest cabin. All of these rooms come with bathrooms and an additional shower room. The guest bathroom is utilized from the cabin, and the lobby on the mezzanine operates as a day toilet for the guests. The American version of the Pershing 6x has two cabins – owner and VIP – with a living area replacing the other guest cabin. In both cases, the crew cabin is near the cockpits, with a single bed and integrated bathroom. Its luxurious interiors include plain and lacquered wood furniture, parquet flooring, Mastrotto, Poltrona Frau leathers, and mirrored panels. The cabins also have rectangular portholes for windows. It is all brightly illuminated with horizontal LED bars in the ceiling, adding the finishing touches to the design.
High-tech Helm
The crucial new location onboard is the main deck helm station. This area features a dashboard with two 19-inch monitors, carbon fiber control panels, and an electro-hydraulic steering system.
Depending on the owner, one can customize this space by adding an innovative joystick to handle various operating modes comfortably.
The Pershing 6X can operate in “easy mode” for accurate maneuvers in confined waters. The large sunroof over the dashboard opens up to take cruising to the next level.
